I am a high calibre, ambitious individual with a successful career built on progressive experience in a number of functions including COO, Commercial Director and Supply Chain Director across food, convenience and luxury retailing in PLCs and family owned companies in Ireland and the UK. Within Tesco in both Ireland and the UK, my experiences ranged from in-store and online retailing across food and non-food and also telecoms, petrol retailing, pharmacy and opticians. In my role as Commercial Director, I was accountable for all buying areas and also lead the supply chain, trade planning, space and range and technical teams. in this role I was accountable for delivering the food and non food strategy particularly the price and promotions strategy. In Maxol, Ireland's largest Irish owned forecourt retailer, I was accountable for retail, marketing, capital development and new business and lead the transformation strategy from primarily a fuel retailer to a convenience food and food to go retailer with a strong fuel business. In Brown Thomas Arnotts my role had full responsibility for merchandise planning, supply chain and achieving the optimal merchandise and trade driving strategy across all categories to optimise sales and profit. I was heavily involved in the sustainability agenda and also part of the sale process of the business in 2022. I have a strong financial background as a Chartered Accountant and I am a good clear strategic thinker, good at situational analysis, identifying options and arriving at decisions collaboratively. I have built strong teams through values lead leadership and creating a clear vision of where the team needs to go and how we will get there.
