A Chartered Mechanical Engineer with more than a decade of railway engineering and operations experience across industry, academia and government. Current role is technical lead for Hatch rail operations projects across North America (and further afield), including travel time forecasts, scheduling and timetabling, network capacity, train control design and optimisation, energy usage and alternative vehicle performance. Subject matter expert for rolling stock engineering and conceptual signalling design (wayside, cab, CBTC and ETCS) within the Operations Planning and Simulation team. Also responsible for designing, specifying and testing enhancements for TrainOps®, Hatch’s in-house rail simulation software.
