As an intern, I had the opportunity to work in the Quality Assurance (QA) lab, where I gained hands-on experience and developed a deep understanding of quality control systems specific to the production of surgical gloves.Key Responsibilities and Achievements:Project Management/ Critical thinking: Successfully completed a project on the identification of three unknown bacteria and unknown fungi found on surgical gloves and determined their gamma radiation resistance through biochemical, microbiological, and irradiation techniques, showcasing my critical and analytical thinking skills. Quality Control Systems: Acquired in-depth knowledge on quality-enhancing and control systems for surgical gloves, enhancing my expertise in quality assurance.Laboratory Testing: Gained practical knowledge in standard laboratory testing, including the isolation and identification of microorganisms using biochemical tests and spectroscopic methods. This experience highlighted my laboratory skills and proficiency in biochemical testing.Procedure Development: Prepared and refined testing procedures, demonstrating my ability to create standard operating procedures and maintain laboratory standards.Through my internship, I developed a strong foundation in QA processes and laboratory techniques, contributing to the overall quality and safety of surgical gloves.
