Juan Pablo Viteri is a lecturer, researcher, and media producer that follows transdisciplinary interests. Exploring the intersections between academic research and creative practice is central to how he conducts his work. He focuses on popular music, media and visual cultures and works across visual, interactive and audio-based media. For over a decade, he has been a lecturer at Universidad San Francisco de Quito. From there he directs Radio COCOA (a web-based platform created for the documentation and promotion of Ecuadorian independent music and arts), is part of the editorial team of the post(s) journal, and coordinates multiple media education projects for ONGs’ related to the United Nations Organization (UNO).
