ReadyNation is a membership organization of more than 1,100 business leaders who work to strengthen businesses and the economy through proven investments in children and youth. We educate policy-makers and the public about research-based investments that will enable their businesses to compete in today’s competitive global marketplace. It operates under the 501(c)(3) organization, Council for a Strong America.-Serve as lead staff member tasked with refresh of project website, www.readynation.org, including communication with external consultants and internal staff. -Update website, including written content and visual elements, as well as manage relationship with webmaster.-Develop strategy and content for additional e-advocacy efforts, including project Facebook and Twitter (@Ready_Nation) pages. -Coordinate with research and communication departments to update project branding, and to guide research publications through drafting and approval processes. -Draft grantee reports to describe how funds are being used in accordance with grant requirements.-Assist with the development and execution of both on- and off-site events, including a March 2014 event in Charlotte, NC with 160 attendees.

In February 2014, ReadyNation moved to a new host nonprofit, Council for a Strong America.-Drafted and edited content for project website, www.ReadyNation.org.-Developed, implemented, and refined social media strategy, including launch of project Twitter (@Ready_Nation), and Facebook accounts. -Maintained relationships with project consultants, which included contract drafting, invoicing, and managing workflow.-Developed content for monthly newsletter to over 3,800 constituents, using MailChimp e-mail marketing service.-Maintained and updated project budget.-Collaborated with fundraising team to ensure long-term sustainability of project.-Managed project webinars, including both on- and off-site speakers, with attendance often over 100+ participants.-Assisted with logistics of both local and nationwide off-site events ranging in size from 80 to over 1,000 individuals.

-Worked with program director, additional Pew staff, and several outside organizations to provide a fluid transition for the project-Partnership for America's Economic Success-from the Pew Center on the States to a new organization home at America's Promise Alliance,-Drafted content for project website, and acted as liaison to an outside web manager;-Monitored and updated project budget in coordination with the program director;-Produced content for a monthly e-newsletter with an audience of over 2,000 individuals, using Convio's e-marketing service;-Assisted with the planning and execution of numerous events, including a large summit of 200 business leaders, held in Boston, MA in July 2011; and,-Contributed to the overall long-term strategic planning of the project.

-Assisted with the planning and execution of two large conferences, one held in D.C., the other in Telluride, Colorado, as well as several smaller meetings held in-office;-Edited internal and external written communications, including web and e-advocacy;-Assisted in tracking contract and grant documents through an intensive review process;-Performed research on a number of topics utilizing Factiva, Google, and relevant social media sites; and,-Contributed to the success of the team via additional administrative duties as required.
