The USC Career Center is an open asset to all USC Students and Alumni, providing many accessible career/internship-related support services and resources to advance every Trojan's future goals and endeavors.As a Student Engagement Intern, I assist the Career Center Advisors with daily office operations and various executive functions such as management of USC's job platform, Handshake. I helped launch the Career Center's Headshots to Handshakes program in which I facilitated LinkedIn Profile & Networking workshops open to all USC students. I also work the front desk, answering phone calls and monitoring the Career Center's email for any inquiries regarding appointment bookings, career/internship opportunities, workshops/services, and general inquiries.

TNTP is a non-profit, public charity with the mission of catalyzing America's public education system. Through research, policy, advocacy, partnerships, and impact consulting, TNTP aims to support individual educators, the school systems behind them, and the community they serve. Turning insights into action, the organization has shifted paradigms and influenced large-scale policy change to deliver measurable impact for countless students across the nation.In my role as an FP&A intern, I supported the FP&A team with their forecasting and budgeting responsibilities. Utilizing Workday Adaptive Planning, I assisted with the Q4 forecast through data-entry and verification tasks. I led a BvA analysis project, analyzing TNTP's Home Office, Gifts, and Morale spending across FY 21, 22, and 23. I also assisted with an FTE allocation project, analyzing discrepancies with actual time underallocations.

REI was founded in 1938 as the premier outdoor co-op, equipping members for a transformative life of adventure and excitement within nature. The company offers an expansive collection of equipment, apparel, expertise, and services to help get their members outside.My time with REI has been nothing short of transformative and fulfilling. Entering the role in my junior year of high school, I've developed and honed numerous competencies across my three years with the company. Through thousands of customer interactions, I conveyed my passion for the outdoors, shared the benefits of membership to our guests, and outfitted individuals and parties for their intended trips. Welcoming every customer and connecting with them based on our interest/passion for the outdoors was a goal of mine during every interaction.From a simple day hike to an Everest expedition, I've learned that every customer's needs are important and unique. Listening and understanding to the nuances given directly affects the recommendations I give which can tie directly into the overall success of their exploits. Not every shoe is going to fit every customer the same, not every customer requires a top of the line, $400+, Gore-Tex jacket. Approaching each interaction in the footwear pen or sales floor with that level of thinking helped improve overall customer satisfaction, mitigate excessive returns, and cemented REI as a leader in the outdoor recreation industry.
