Office SurveyingJR is well-versed in preparing field crew packages for all types of projects; responsible charge for boundary research, calculations, and quality control; CAD standards development for survey mapping and associated workflows; skilled at planning, processing and adjusting level, GPS, and conventional network data; and complying with strict deliverable standards. He is also familiar with Airport Circulars 150/5300-16, 150/5300-17, and 150/5300-18 for Airport-GIS (AGIS) projects, as well as NOAA Special Publications NOS CO-OPS 2 (Computational Techniques for Tidal Datums). Notable Project:In the winter of 2015 he successfully coordinated the efforts of four field crews on a 250-mile, fast static GPS network in Northern California.Field SurveyingCurrently an Operating Engineers Local 3 Management Trainee, JR is experienced in ROW surveys; control densification; design surveys; construction staking; terrestrial LiDAR; geodetic tunnel surveys; GPS surveys; boundary surveys; and is certified in traffic safety.Notable Project:JR assisted in the geodetic survey efforts of four different tunnels for water and transportation. On these projects, JR served three different roles: geodetic crew chainman, office survey technician, and DMT gyro operator. LiDAR ExperienceJR has worked on a variety of airborne, mobile (vehicle-based), and terrestrial (stationary) LiDAR scanning projects. He has deployed in the field during acquisition of terrestrial and airborne LiDAR. He is proficient in most extraction software and is developing some of Towill's workflows.Notable Project:In the winter of 2015 he trained field crews to scan a 3-mile terrestrial LiDAR project in an urban environment. In the office he registered 300 scans and built workflows to train office staff in proper extraction techniques. The deliverable was a highly detailed topographic map with very strict CAD standards.
