JR Wikkerink is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He founded Screamin Brothers Allergen Friendly Frozen Desserts, a company he built into a national brand featured on CBC’s Dragons Den in 2014. Since selling the business, JR was named a Killam Fellow through Fulbright Canada to study in the United States, was a student-athlete with the UVic Vikes Mens Rowing Team and has travelled across Canada volunteering through the Katimavik Program. He has since worked in a variety of roles with the Government of Canada, the Aga Khan Foundation Canada, and with World University Service Canada.
