I was responsible for leading the global consulting business. With over 2000 professionals, the consulting practice has an established presence in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia, India and other emerging markets and works with marquee clients. Established TCS Perspectives as the thought leadership vehicle for the company. I created a strong consulting culture and platform for TCS. Consulting revenues grew four fold during my tenure.

Created a strateigc direction for the practice that resulted in high growth of the business across geographies by introducing domain specific service lines and converting marquee customers eg. GSK, Roche, Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly. Established the TCS Pharma CIO Club as a forum to discuss technology issues in Pharma companies. Grew the nascent business to US$ 300 m in 6 years. Initiated two pioneering thought leadership reviews of the state of art of IT in a) the pharmaceutical industry in India and b) the CRO industry. Speaker at the Global Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Conference organised by The Financial Times, London and at the 42nd Annual DIA Conference held at Philadelphia.

Conducted a strategic review of the impact of Harvard Business Publishing in India across business lines. My recommendations were accepted and incorporated into the business plan. Currently providing coaching and advisory services.

Started in Chicago, USA and later become the first Managing Director; establishing the firm in India and grew the business across cities ( Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Chennai) , service lines ( strategy, operations and IT consulting, Corporate Finance and Taxation) and clients. Advised a number of MNCs and national companies.

Established and grew the Consulting business in Western India. Spoke at two " Doing business in India" conferences at Washington D.C. and Chicago. Authored the first Coopers & Lybrand Guide to Doing business in India.
