I manage a team of up to 10 Social Workers to ensure adherence with regulatory authorities. I advise Social Workers on how to manage clinically complex cases while also overseeing compliance to quality documentation in a timely manner. My focus is to provide patient/user-centric solutions towards how our senior team provides care through Telehealth.

I provide leadership and support to both the Palliative Care & Social Work Quality Team. Servings as a liaison in management to the Palliative Care and Social Work Departments, I facilitate a much needed bridge in communication. I currently supervise a team of 20+ socials workers in anything from crisis intervention, end of life planning, to patient/family interventions. My main role is to ensure my staff have the support and tools needed to foster meaningful relationships and ensure effective care. 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞:• Monitor and evaluate data to develop relationships with vendors to improve collaboration and quality metrics• Conduct trainings to equip all staff with core competencies to provide efficient and empathic care• Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand Palliative Care within the health system• Establish partnerships with Nursing, Case Management, and Spiritual Care Departments to support our staff and our patients

I develop wellness and benefit services for employees within Mount Sinai. My clinical experience helps me make meaningful connections quickly so that I can make sure our staff feel supported! In this internship I focused on enhancing my project management skills. I lead a project that focused on expanding clinical services at Mount Sinai Morningside. I was tasked and successful in developing a new and efficient workflow between two practices to ensure excellent patient care.

In this role, I was tasked with providing supportive and efficient care to hospitalized patients. As a float, I utilized agility and versatility to make meaningful connections with patients and our interdisciplinary team. A few months into my role, COVID-19 pandemic hit and I had to adapt to the quick changes in hospital policies and continue to provide excellent care. I enhanced my communication skills in a way that I didn't expect. I was facilitating incredibly difficult conversations with patients and families at a time where emotions and uncertainty were at an all time high. 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞:• Collaborated on the "Discharge Before Noon" (DBN) initiative with case management, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to improve hospital efficiency and patient satisfaction. • Developed and initiated an innovative process to increase connectivity for patients who were hospitalized during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic• Found creative solutions to optimize discharges to reduce hospital overload

Started my Mount Sinai career as a Social Worker for a leading-edge practice that treated the most medically and psychosocially complex patients at our hospital. Here I forged meaningful relationships with patients, hospital staff, vendors, and other medical providers to deliver quality care which led to top-performing experience scores for over 150 graduated patients. Additionally, Our focus was to help our patients improve their relationship with themselves, hoping to build self awareness and accountability towards adherence to medical goals. My internship focused on developing and utilizing project management skills to create a portfolio dashboard to help manage externally funded research grants through the Department of Genetic and Genomic Sciences. I spent time collaborating with several stakeholders, including administrators, project managers, and researchers to negotiate and improve the use of a site based management tool.

I led several quarterly regulatory assessments and managed records for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Additionally, I enforced treatment modalities and provided training to patients on renal disease management. 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞:• I crafted a patient-centered care plan to help identify and eliminate psychosocial barriers and influenced the multidisciplinary team to utilize the care plan to standardize quality patient care.
