Developing an innovative data visualization tool to replace an existing reporting system; writing a consulting report.Research on existing data reporting systems, as well as the needs of the account managers led to the development of a Power-BI Dashboard. This Tool was delivered with a companion consultancy report.This project was part of the PORQSAT public-private partnership with Wageningen University & Research.Skills fostered in this project:• Clearly stablishing the needs of the client.• Working with large amounts of data in SQL Admin.Presenting the most crucial and sometimes overlook data in an intuitive and interaction inducing way was a challenge worth taking.

Research on the contrafreeloading preferences of Grey parrots; research on the effect of a multicomponent enrichment on the foraging behaviour of Grey parrots. The experiments took place in the Clinic for companion animals of the University of Utrecht.Skills fostered in this internship:• Conditioning and caretaking of test subjects.• Setting up and executing experiments for Contrafreeloading, Motivation and Feather damaging behavior.• Interpreting the experiments data following an inter person reliability guideline.I started this internship just as the first covid lockdown took place in The Netherlands. My team had to quickly elaborate a plan to keep the experiments running. The planned experiments did not suffer any delays and no cutbacks were made on the quality of the research. I consider this project one of my most educational and growth inducing moments and I look back at it very fondly.

Unpocodelchoco.com.Research on the effect of human activity on the fauna within the nature reserve of UPDC as well as performing a wildlife monitoring of the mammals and terrestrial birds in the area.Skills fostered in this project:• Collecting data in challenging conditions.• Working with DeepMeerkat.In this internship I experienced the nature of the Ecuadorian Choco while practicing monitoring fieldwork in the beautiful wild Ecuadorian Choco region.
