Associate Territory Manager
As an Associate Territory Manager, my job was to do the work necessary to facilitate the Territory Manager job for my entire team. I was responsible for the entire Los Angeles County. My primary responsibilities included consulting physicians, engaging, educating and empowering support staff via one-on-one discussions, group in-servicing, exhibits and conferences, and enabling prescribing entities to become self-sufficient through enrollment of ZPM software. I did this by maintaining a quality working relationship with all parties involved in the patient's plan of care.I was responsible for learning about medical insurance and the different types of coverage plans available. I worked with all major insurances (Medicare, Medicaid, etc) and HMO and PPO programs. I helped with discharge planning along with the physician and case manager. I worked to reduce emotional problems including assisting patients and families with anxieties tied to the DME. I also worked with patients at their bedside to place the DME on patients and educate them.I was responsible for managing ongoing accounts and looking for areas of growth within the territory via community outreach and education. This included communicating and training hospital and office staff about our products via in-services and one-on-one sessions with physicians. I did this by providing education and support, ultimately reducing delays in patient discharge.I was responsible for selling and growing accounts within all territories. During my time as Associate Territory Manager, I helped my team become a top-performing team within the company. With my help, our quota consistently made above 100%, reaching as high as 121% and 136%. I applied Integrity / GAP Model selling skills and combined them with a consultative sales lens. At times, this involved meeting with administration. Learning, knowing, and implementing all Plans of Action launched to the Field Sales Organization and knowing competitor products was key.
