In my time with the NZFC this included orchestrating New Zealand's participation at key A-list film markets and festivals for the purposes of promoting and selling New Zealand films. I regularly attended Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, Toronto and Venice International Film Festivals and the European Film Market, Marche du Film and American Film Market in Los Angeles. I was invited to speak at national and international film conferences including the Big Screen Symposium, Korean National Film Conference in Seoul and Global Media Summit in Los Angeles.I began my career with the NZFC as Business Affairs Executive (a legal and commercial advisory role), a position I held until 2009. During that time I negotiated the NZFC's distribution and sales agency agreements and completed film finance for numerous films including international co-productions with countries such as the UK and Germany.
