Experienced leader with a successful background in employment services, business development, workforce services, employability training skills, team building, and handling confidential and sensitive information. Acted as one of the management team members that oversaw an $8.3 M. grant awarded by the Department of Labor to assist individuals with more than 26 weeks of unemployment. Earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from IUE (Indiana University East), and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) from Kelly School of Business Indiana University.Currently, I am The Director of Workforce Development and Latinx Community Services for the YMCA of greater Indianapolis IN Oversee the Employment Services component of Project Connect, the YMCA Adult Education and Workforce Development Program. Responsible to cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with community organizations, employers, educational institutions, and government agencies, fostering collaborations to address workforce needs, develop training initiatives, and create employment prospects for program participants. Oversee the process of recruiting, training, and supervising program staff to ensure the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve program objectives.Overall, I assist and oversee the YMCA workforce Development Program helping employers to cover their workforce needs and participants with lessons in personal branding, resume writing, job search, interview techniques, and having access to top training programs to further their skills, as well as to professional networking opportunities with the added value of a dedicated Career Service Advisor that will assist the program’s participants with all necessary tools to re-enter the workforce or upgrade their skills with training programs.
