From the recruitment and hiring of managers and employees through the orientation, policy administration, benefit explanation and administration, payroll administration, motivation , discipline, employment law compliance and documentation, training and development to terminations, exit interviews, and even pre-employment testing.• Employee Relations, Coaching and Counseling: Was considered a turnover reduction expert during the early part of my career and accepted three relocations to take units with employee relation challenges (high turnover). Reduced the annualized turnover rates to record lows for the industry in two of the units and gained control over the third with a significant reduction in turn rate. Almost eliminated turnover in hospital utility crew (dishwashers and general cleanup) and drastically improved the attendance record of the team as a whole in less than a year.• Coaching and counseling skills were critical in the above examples but I can also point to three times as a management trainer I was asked to see what I could do with an assistant manager who was on the verge of being terminated in another unit. In all three cases with-in four months these individual’s previous managers were requesting to have them returned as the excellence of their performance became obvious.• Operations Management: Every business unit I was responsible for showed increases in top lines, bottom lines, and surveyed levels of customer satisfaction. They also had decreased turnover rates. One unit earned the company’s highest achievement for customer service, and another unit recorded the highest 1st year sales ever at that time.
