The Alair Homes' model of client transparency and process-driven pre-construction proved to be the foundation for a win-win partnership, providing Alair a foothold in the DFW market while giving James the opportunity to expand and mentor others in this more progressive way of building/remodeling.Today, Alair Homes has over 150 combined locations in the U.S. and Canada. As a Partner with Alair Homes, James’ track record includes experience in custom new home building, home improvements and full-home remodeling along with maintenance and owners-representative services.

In 2011, JRHammel Construction was born out of the desire to leave the chaotic, "shoot from the hip" style of cost-plus remodeling behind and develop a better way of doing business. The focus was on a completely different and transparent method of remodeling with the end goal being to perfect the overall client experience. The key assumption was that if you follow a rigorous multiple checkpoint process that by design demands more time during pre-construction to anticipate, investigate, and verify, then a great experience is virtually guaranteed. By putting transparency and processes to the forefront, JRH was able to more accurately forecast financial details and completion schedules; better equipped to improve the client experience; and more in control of the quality/results.
