Having worked a number of odd jobs in multiple types of industries every task I take on is looked at from every possible view, making trouble-shooting easier and more effective. Being committed to all of these jobs while having them I learned valuable skills in all these trades. In my eclectic work history I have food service industry experience in multiple establishments, cross-trained in many departments within a grocery store, trusted to maintain a gas station and most recently I was managing the day-to-day operations of Bruegger’s Bagels in Woodbury, MN.Some things were consistent through all these jobs, allowing me to excel in certain aspects of any job. One was the amount of Customer relations I handled. As a happy individual it is easy for me to strike up a conversation with just about anyone crossing my path, making their experience more enjoyable. With good cash handling skills, learning how to count back change ("a lost art," most people referred to it as) I helped people get back to their daily lives and make sure everyone had exactly what was due to them.Another was maintaining a clean work environment, not only for the patrons of the store but for the other employees as well. This taught me a lot about staying organized as well. The organized mind helped in cases where it was necessary to restock the product I learned efficient ways to handle items stock them quickly and organize the excess in such a way that future replenishing of product would be easier. Which then in-turn helped me recognize patterns making ordering product and keeping inventory less of a hassle; in many cases I save the company's money with less waste or expired product.Being proficient in one type of industry is a great thing to have under your belt, but I enjoy having had all the work experience opportunities, knowing the ins-and-outs of multiple industries helps greatly when trying to reach a new audience or relate to a client about their work experience.
