Shí éí Jennifer Jones yinishyé.I am an Indigenous PhD scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison working at the intersection of STEM (clean energy technologies, environmental analysis, climate resiliency), social sciences (climate, energy, & environmental justice), and policy (tribal nations, federal land policy, environmental policy). My proposed research project is looking at how we can intentionally and equitably provide clean, renewable technologies to our indigenous nations and peoples. Beyond my research, I like to connect with and support upcoming Indigenous students pursuing higher education. I plan on serving as a future university faculty to continue my research and support/inspire native youth to succeed in their college careers and professional development. I had to work at obtaining a lot of my network and skills over time, but by sharing this knowledge, I can make it easier for the next generation.
