National Business Development Manager - Police/Public Safety
Atlanta, Georgia, Us
In mid 2017, I was the Security Committee Chair for my neighborhood civic association (Peachtree Park) in Buckhead. In this role, I handled all security-related initiatives for the neighborhood. The primary responsibility was to manage and work with our security patrol that was comprised of off-duty APD (Atlanta Police Department) officers. I was approached by Flock Safety to be a test neighborhood for its LPR cameras, as the product was still in beta and they needed to get units in the field for testing purposes. The cameras were installed in October of 2017, and two months later they helped APD and me solve a residential burglary in my neighborhood. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of the Flock team, but I saw a bigger picture for Flock and where I could add tremendous value -- working with law enforcement agencies. The original business model was to strictly focus on the private sector - neighborhoods, HOA's, multifamily properties, etc. Having worked alongside APD in my role with my neighborhood association, however, I'd become extremely passionate about law enforcement and public safety. In mid-2018, when Flock mentioned the possibility of taking its technology to the public sector, I pursued the opportunity and joined the company in October of 2018.As one of the first members of Flock's Public Safety team, I was responsible for developing relationships with law enforcement agencies to familiarize them with our technology and our public/private partnership concept.Results:- Established/developed relationships with agencies in TN, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA and TX- Helped create Project 145, a marketing campaign designed to reward agencies with Flock Falcon cameras when neighborhoods in their jurisdictions purchased Flock Sparrow cameras- Helped create Project Prove-It, a program designed to allow agencies to pilot Flock cameras which would convert to a contract if all milestones and expectations were met
