I am very passionate about combining my experience with healthcare, technology, and informatics in order to have a large and lasting positive impact on the healthcare industry. I believe information technology has great potential to improve the overall health of the population, increase the quality of care patients receive, and reduce the cost of healthcare as a nation. • Healthcare – As a practicing pharmacist with 4+ years of clinical experience, I have worked closely with physicians and nurses in order to provide excellent care for my patients. I have witnessed firsthand many of the changes that have occurred in healthcare over the past several years.• Technology – Having a lifelong interest in computers and technology has made me increasingly proficient with database management (MySQL and relational database design), web languages (PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS), and web APIs and frameworks (Yii, AngularJS, Bootstrap).• Informatics – My professional interests in healthcare and technology naturally led me to pursue a Masters in Health Informatics. I am constantly expanding my knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system as a whole, and all the work that needs to be done to make things simpler and more efficient.
