As a native Los Angeleno, J.R. understands the unique markets and challenges that make-up this large world-class city. J.R. began his career 40-years ago after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Economics. For the first half of his career, J.R. worked for banking giants like California Federal, American Savings, Home Savings and Bank of America. In 1995 he Co-Founded Skyline Funding, an Encino California based mortgage brokerage and banking firm. As Managing Partner, he quickly grew the company to seven offices and over 100 employees, including 60 Loan Consultants funding over 500 million dollars in mortgages a year. In early 2000, J.R. sold Skyline Funding and retired to pursue philanthropic endeavors. It wasn't long before he missed the business and in the summer of 2001, he returned to his roots and joined Washington Mutual Bank as a Sr. Loan Consultant.Almost from the beginning, J.R. has used computer technology to set himself apart from the competition. In 1995, he developed and implemented SkyNET, one of the first computer systems ever designed for Loan Officers to originate & process loans over the internet, helping to revolutionizing the industry. Now Loan Officers could access their client's entire file remotely from anywhere in the world.Involved in various community & charity organizations throughout Los Angeles & Beverly Hills, J.R. believes that a successful life is measured by the service to others. It's the foundation to why he loves helping people reach their financial goals and dreams though homeownership.
