• Research is presently focused on determining the presence of phosphates in soil surrounding free bodies of water the southern region of Colorado.• Current methods for phosphate determination include Melich3 extraction and colorimetric determination of P.• These findings will be used to determine the origin of increased phosphate deposits in these aquatic environments and will potentially aid in understanding the increased eutrophication in the region.

• Independently implemented the use of Langmuir Trough, NMR, DART-MS & DLS for characterization of lipids and menaquinones including menadione, menadiol, reverse micelles & their interactions under physiological conditions.• Gathered, arranged and corrected research data to create representative graphs and charts highlighting results using Excel, ChemDraw & OriginLab 9.1.• Demonstrated all research findings to peers and superiors in different formats, including white papers, presentations and spreadsheets.
