Solar Forma’s answer is to bring it into our everyday lives with beautiful, inspiring solutions. We draw inspiration from biomimicry and biophilic design to comingle technology, energy production, and place-making. Solar Forma’s solar products create a place rather than take up space.As Head of Product and Engineering my first responsibility is to deliver on the promise we make to our customers – to inspire visitors and be a catalyst for sustainable thinking. I get to partner with engineers, artists, welders, fabricators, and designers to bring concepts into reality. Whether it be setting the structural engineering requirements, defining a fully recycled-steel supply chain, or just stripping wires to build a new unit, I have the opportunity every day to learn something knew about this rapidly expanding clean energy industry. Soon I’ll learn to weld and then I get to participate in all aspects of Solar Forma’s work.My responsibilities also involve market discovery and research with a focus on definition and delivery of our EV strategy. Working with marketing and design professionals I provide in depth market analysis and though leadership on the technical fronts of the industry to inform our target market segments, geographies, and integrated technologies and partnerships.

UpStream is a startup technology business dedicated to making in person and hybrid events easy. We have successfully developed and released the only wireless-first video and audio content delivery system. Our solutions make event production adaptable, scalable, and affordable for businesses and venues. Our flagship product line defines the next generation of audiovisual solutions.As the Founder & CEO my responsibilities are to lead the engineering, sales & marketing, product research, and financial activities necessary to take UpStream's products to market. I brought together a founding team that delivered on a product vision no one in the industry thought could be accomplished. I have worked with corporate and intellectual property attorneys to ensure a solid corporate foundation. Through extensive customer and market discovery contacts we defined and identified urgent customer needs in spite of a global health pandemic. Any startup requires all members do to all things. As an individual contributor I sought to add value to the engineering team through architectural leadership, cloud integration, and system testing. I designed, implemented, and deployed prototypes to demonstrate our product's potential to investors and solicit market feedback from our beta customers and industry influencers. These linux-based systems used development tools such as Raspberry Pi and Arty Z7 development kits and cloud and open sourced software systems. I designed and developed our software deployment and support solutions. This involved using AWS systems to create an automated process that supports multiple compute endpoints.Our goal throughout has been to make AV systems better, easier, and cheaper. By eliminating dedicated hardware for the first time we allow greater flexibility and scalability for our customers.Using WebRTC and other open source and proprietary systems the UpStream team created the first fully integrated hybrid event production experience.

CareFusion, a spin-off of Cardinal Health, focuses on high tech medical devices including hospital supply management solutions, ventilators and neurological diagnostic equipment (EEG and EMG) devices.

-Day-to-day activities involved all levels of product responsibility for our medical EEG line of hardware and software as well as development of our new facility and patient management application. This included programming, testing, project scoping, development strategy, and risk assessment.-Worked extensively at customer sites gathering product feedback, demonstrating features for sales purposes and troubleshooting system problems caused by installation and network conflicts.-Initiated collaboration between geographically separate business units to leverage product synergies.-Presented product development to senior leadership to advance expectations and importance of ongoing projects.
