The focus of Teaching Tolerance is on helping students understand issues of social justice, equity and fairness.

Served as member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and Executive Secretary of the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County (CRCMC), a prominent non-profit community organization that offers mediation, facilitation, community conferencing, transition and other services vital to helping maintain peaceful means of resolving disputes for Montgomery County residents. As Executive Committee member, worked to insure compliance with organizational by-laws, finances, and reviewed the tasks/productivity of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.

Served as middle school counselor, as well as, consultant to parents and staff to help students navigate and overcome academic, personal and social concerns. Organized and/or conducted staff and parent trainings on issues ranging from understanding Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act to cyber-bullying. Coordinated and trained counselors and students in conflict and mediation.

Researched, designed and developed the course in International Conflict Resolution for graduate students in law and Masters Degree programs at the Werner Institute for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, Creighton School of Law, Creighton University. The course consists of topics ranging from the theoretical framework of the underlying causes of international discord to the numerous ways in which interventions are designed, implemented and evaluated.
