This improved capacity was demonstrated through improvements in governance, book keeping and customer service.• Facilitate and coordinate the rehabilitation of one enterprise through an investment of USD 80,000 to setup up a solar system, storage tank and piping to institutions and households.• Ensure county government participation and collaboration at all steps by developing schedules and joint workplans for sustainability.     Entry into the humanitarian sector saw me manage the closure and transition of the USD 5,000,000 UK DFID funded SPARK Project; looking at how various Food Security and Livelihoods projects could be scaled for the benefit of the refugees and host community. I ensured that:• As we closed SPARK project, successfully implemented the USD 300,000 UNHCR Livelihoods project that saw funding pledge, after biding, increase to USD 500,000 for 2019. This was in addition to a USD 150,000 SGBV and women empowerment project already secured from UNHCR. A further USD 10,000 was secured from the USAID BPRM Julia Taft fund, through a proposal on business linkages for women tailors towards fashion and design.• The organisation was well represented in multi-stakeholder forums and recognised as a lead livelihoods agency, which enabled mutual partnerships with diverse organisations.• Program quality was enhanced through training, coaching and mentoring the teams on effective implementation in line with KPIs through a Kaizen approach. This had the effect of boosting morale and ensuring a motivated and mission driven workforce.

Additional work under a USAID/APHIAPlus funded project saw me implement an economic strengthening strategy with community health units to promote entrepreneurship efforts towards sustainable income generating activities. Results, including from other duties assigned, were:• 28% increased revenue for the water enterprises through various business development efforts that saw them sell treated water at a premium. 2 enterprises secured finance through a partnership with Cooperative Bank, thereby driving expansion.• Over 100 community health units trained on table banking (VSLA) and linked to various entrepreneurial activities to realize a 40% return on their savings/investments as recorded on the global SAVIX MIS.• Increased representation and networking of the organisation in WASH advocacy and policy activities with the national and county government’s ministries and departments leading to adoption of KESH Policy and Framework, ODF Strategy as well as MHM and Jigger Management Policies.• Business development and partnership support that led to the mobilization of USD 62,000 from Ecozoom LTD for a last mile clean stove project as well as a private partnership with Envirofit LTD to strengthen the community health unit’s income generating activities in the clean energy sector. Over 2,000 units were sold.
