I came to PTC in 2010 via the acquisition of Planet Metrics – the first product carbon accounting software founded in 2007 during Cleantech 1.0. I was employee number two brought on as Planet Metrics’ Director of Research where I provided breakthroughs in scaling scientific and analytical data models to enterprise applications used in managing the environmental performance of manufactured goods, organizations, and supply chains. Prior to Planet Metrics, my career included several senior science-based roles in the United States Congress and academic and non-profit sectors in the fields of sustainability and ecology focused on applied industrial ecology, water and fisheries resources, climate change, energy policy, oceanic policy, endangered species protection, and conservation biology.I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Ecology from The University of Georgia. In my downtime I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, kayaking, biking, using his five year old daughter’s scooter escapades as an excuse to revisit his youth as an amateur skateboarder, travel and exploring new places and cultures, music and record colleting (fun fact – I've also been a DJ/music producer for 25 years), photography, woodworking, ecology, geology, history, and cooking.
