I led our NYC based teams in Commercial Software Engineering (CSE). We work side-by-side with customers to build solutions for their biggest challenges. We leveraged a broad range of OSS and Microsoft technologies on Microsoft Azure. I've helped a non-profit deploy their platform to help the world's children with technologies like Azure, Kubernetes and DevOps tooling. I also contributed to a project that enabled suppliers to manage requests from health providers for items like social distancing kits for the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Led multiple cross-functional problem solving teams with area focuses ranging from our Core organizer product to our enterprise offering, Meetup Pro• Managed, mentored and coached organization of 17 engineers and 9 contractors, including developing 5 first level manager and technical leads• Decreased analytic data latency from 4 hours to 3 seconds for new onboarding enterprise customers by developing an event driven data denormalizing solution• Worked and communicated directly with enterprise customers and partners to help them find technical solutions leveraging Meetup’s API offerings

• Led first fully remote contractor team. Instilled collaborative problem solving culture to delivery automated subscription billing for Meetup’s enterprise offering. Technologies used included Scala based microservices, Kubernetes, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Datastore and Stripe.

• Led Engineering Effectiveness, an internal facing team that evangelized and championed velocity, code health and developer sanity• Transitioned organization to Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment from a manual delivery process increasing number of monolithic deployments to production from 1.5 to >6 per day. Implemented pipeline, refactored code base for creating artifacts, and evangelized CI/CD concepts to organization.

• Led Meetup’s transition of subscription based revenue from CyberSource to Stripe• Led integration of Apple In-App purchases for Meetup’s core subscription model. Project included making our internal mock open: https://github.com/meetup/apple-of-my-iap• Implemented and led multiple customer to customer payment solutions on the platform including Member Dues (subscription model) and Contributions (donation model) generating $30+ million dollars in revenue to Meetup organizers using Wepay

• Developed and operated a scalable CMS frontend in a client facing role for a GSE financial company

• Architected and implemented a distributed notification system used for brokering real-time events to GCM, Apple Push, and email services.• Implemented real-time updates and notifications for official Android client.

• Identified issue of Customer Service’s inability to assist customers with customer website. Proposed, designed, and developed web account administration and troubleshooting workflow solution allowing Customer Service to properly assist web-based customers.• Gathered requirements, and conducted training meetings for migration from database backed infrastructure to SOAP based web-services for customer website.• Designed, configured, and implemented networking and server details for testing environments used for customer website. Environments included multiple preview, integration, and regression servers.• Identified resource waste on managing career listings for HR on corporate website. Proposed solution that allowed HR to manage career listings. Assisted with design and development of solution.
