Hello! I'm an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University majoring in computer science. I'm still exploring my interests in this field, but this semester I took a systems fundamentals which I enjoyed quite a bit. Some of the projects we created were a dynamic memory allocator, a program debugger, and a multithreaded server. This route sounds interesting, and I plan on eventually taking an OS course when it is offered. I was originally intending on majoring in mechanical engineering during my first semester, but after taking an introductory Python course and creating an Arduino animatronic robot that required some coding, I knew I should switch to computer science. This wasn't out of nowhere though, as throughout my teenage years I would always be curious about the technical side of things such as how video games were made (often enjoying this more than the game itself), and I have been experimenting with programming languages like Python since then.Some of my personal interests and hobbies include biking and meteorology. I have biked all over Suffolk County, NY and often run out of locations to go because I've already been there! As for meteorology, I have always been interested with this since I was very young. I particularly enjoy winter weather and could probably tell you about many of the snowstorms that have occurred over the past 20 years. Some of my projects include meteorological data, which may also be a reason why I gravitated towards computer science.
