As a senior attorney at a boutique intellectual property law firm, I wear many hats. On some days, I wear all of them - litigation, transactional, prosecution, business planning, and whatever else is in the office. I particularly enjoy helping businesses and individuals plan and manage their IP assets and portfolios. I also enjoy crafting and negotiating agreements across multiple intellectual property disciplines. My specialties include negotiating and drafting trademark and patent licenses, and copyright and trademark litigation in the federal courts. I also regularly handle trademark litigation before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the PTO, and frequently opine and/or assist on, or provide due diligence for the intellectual property side of larger corporate acquisition, merger, and similar deals.Throughout my practice I have represented clients across multiple industries, including fashion, sports and entertainment, consumer products, brand management, cosmetics and personal care, hardware and tool manufacture, music, video games, and software. I work with and counsel clients of all sizes - lndividuals, start-ups, small businesses, and major domestic and international market leaders. I have also worked in the music industry, and I have consulted businesses and law firms on legal billing and best practices. Most importantly, I try to be creative in what I do as much as possible. As a songwriter, I create content myself and that helps me to see IP a little bit more from my clients' perspectives - I can appreciate IP ownership from the standpoint of an IP owner, not just and advisor or advocate.
