Jason is a curious and determined leader committed to building a different kind of investment platform. Jason brings his multi-sector, multi-stage investment banking, operations, and private equity experiences to Avathon Capital, the education and workforce investment firm he launched with his co-founder Shoshana Vernick in 2015. While Jason’s current focus is dedicated to the education and workforce sectors, over his career he has worked across a broad range of industries and has served on numerous boards as a thoughtful partner to executives. Jason is currently on the board of Amerigo Education, Galileo, Magical Beginnings and Hudson Global Scholars. He is also President of the Bradley M. Yusim Foundation, which is dedicated to his best friend who passed away tragically from brain cancer in 2019. Jason also is a guest lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management. Jason's passions include travel, sports, family and reading good books. Jason earned a BA degree in economics and political science from Northwestern University and a law degree from the Northwestern as well as an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
