About Ross Anderson

I started working at 15 years old in a family run cutting tool machine shop. When I graduated high school I tried and failed at going to college, twice, and just started working as a machinist in the family business. Not satisfied, I tried college again, but failed due to lack of motivation and stability. I then was offered a job in Maryland, and seeing it as an opportunity to get out of South Carolina and live somewhere new and unique to me, I took it. I had a pleasant 4 years with a company there, but I was still unsatisfied so I moved back to South Carolina and continued my work with the family business, and reconciled myself to just working in the shop. As the youngest of three brothers, I wouldn’t ever fully own the company, and I didn’t really want to anyways. Then everything changed when I met and married my wife, who was a professor at a university. With her in my corner, I was able to find the drive and motivation to go back to school and do it right. I successfully completed my B.S in Electrical Engineering and am now working towards honing my skills as an electronics/hardware developer as well as advancing my knowledge of semiconductor technology.
