The Role and Responsibilities• Management of Contractors, compliance and in-house maintenance team of an 880,000Sq feet shopping centre. Covering Fire Alarms, Generators, Sprinkler Systems, Smoke ventilation and extract systems, BMS, AHU’s, boilers, Air conditioning, addressable Emergency Lighting, Electrical installations, Lifts and Escalators• Responsible for Service budget in respect of any building maintenance and compliance• Negotiating lower cost contracts for PPM works• Hands on electrical and mechanical servicing of various plant across the site• Setting and monitoring KPI’s and SLA’s for both contractors and in house staff• Responsible for Fire safety systems and carrying out evacuation tests• Energy management across the centre and Car parks • Duty Manager for the site in the absence of the Centre Manager

Sheffield University Student Accomodation

The Role and Responsibilities• Managing a team of engineers responsible for maintaining student accommodation buildings on behalf of the University Of Sheffield.• Bringing new skills and knowledge to a team of engineers resulting in more work being carried out in house therefore saving costs on sub-contractors.• Providing technical knowledge and support to other areas of the business.• Ensuring statutory compliance for the site which accommodates approximately 4500 student flats.• Managing Sub-Contractors ensuring that their RAMS are followed and a good service level is delivered.• Project management of life cycle works.• Ensuring completion of PPM and Reactive works within agreed SLA’s.• Monitoring systems of work and introducing new working methods.• Budgeting of life cycle projects.

Working as an electrical service engineer on a fully comprehensive hard building services contract covering DWP commercial buildings. Progressing to supervisor and management levels.
