I worked with freshman science and engineering students in Clemson's RISE program to help foster and cultivate the next generation of programmers and professionals. My focus is to create engaging and practical computer science events to motivate students to pursue programming in their free time, or to help strengthen students' programming background. I created a self-guided curriculum students could go through to expose them to various computing techniques and fields. I worked with an interdisciplinary team to schedule, coordinate, assess, and operate events to the best of our capabilities.

I worked as an RA in a science and engineering residence hall. I actively worked on developing Computer Science related events to help freshman Computer Science/Computer Information Systems/Computer Engineering students develop a stronger foundation. These one hour events composed of Linux help sessions, introduction to scripting, automation of routine tasks, how to build a desktop computer, and a variety of other topics that were deemed useful by students.As an RA, I worked on a staff with 35 other RAs and 3 supervisors. We worked together to create a community for freshman to thrive in and enable them to reach their full potential. Our events focused on creating higher interaction between residents, preparing residents for the professional world, and understanding the role each individual has on modern day society.
