Created a blended, project based class offering students an experience in online learning through the open source LMS Moodle. College-bound juniors and seniors explore the ethics behind posting anything online as well as examining their own digital footprint and what it says about them. Students master electronically uploading assignments, participating appropriately in online discussions, functioning in a paperless class environment, and adhering to flexible weekly assignments with weekend deadlines.• Implemented new class without requiring any additional funding from the district’s budget. • Challenged students to create technology/social media related projects for class that would somehow serve the school. Examples include a student government webpage, a health and wellness blog, teaching teachers technology PD, and a video spoof of school rules and procedures to be shown at opening day class meetings.•Evaluated and expanded student blogs bi-weekly as well as maintaining my own blog using WordPress software.

Work with senior class to ensure their final year's activities are meaningful and well-executed. Responsible for collaborating with senior class officers in designing and executing the building of homecoming float. Honor local veterans by continuing the school's tradition of a Veterans' Day assembly done by senior class. Coordinate all graduation activities including a senior class breakfast, two commencement practices, and the commencement ceremony.

Thrived in a position that evolved from emphasizing books and AV equipment to technology and the Internet. Managed six libraries while working full time from the media center that served grades 7-12. Selected high interest books for all grade levels, scheduled and maintained three computer labs and two mobile laptop labs for student use, provided training for district in-service days, nurtured teachers in their efforts to create and maintain a teacher website on district website, and most importantly, worked with students to help them with their reading interests and academic pursuits.• Transitioned libraries from traditional card catalog system to electronic MARC records and computer card catalog in 1999.• Expanded student computers in media center from 10 stations in 1998 to three labs totaling 90 computers today.• Collaborated with teachers in planning/teaching lessons on research skills, copyright, digital literacy, and social media.

Established a small community culture within the school while working in a core team-teaching environment. Planned lessons that incorporated writing assignments and literature readings that coincided with history and science curriculum in an effort to establish connections among the three.• Celebrated individuals and team accomplishments during team meetings held in the cafeteria on Friday mornings.• Exposed 150 students annually to local nature and recreation on a week-long excursion called Winter Fest that included downhill skiing, snow-shoeing, tubing, and cross-country skiing. While at various local resorts, students completed activities that tied to the curriculum and kept a journal of their week as homework.•Embraced students creativity and humor with the coveted mid-year team dance contest and year-end awards assembly.
