As a Senior Accountant, I reviewed 4 staff accountants work that involved financial statement reconciliations, invoices, bills, and journal entries. Due to the company's NetSuite implementation, I have worked on major projects involving trial balance uploads, journal entry uploads, intercompany journal entry uploads, and bill payment uploads. I was the co-lead on our Cash Reconciliation project which involved taking bank statements and uploading all the debits and credits into NetSuite in a timely and effective process. When it comes to month end, I focused on revenue, residuals, fixed assets, and prepaids. Lastly, I did trend analysis during financial review to ensure all Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts were accurate.

As a Senior Accountant, I trained two staff accountants who were in charge of 20 ambulatory surgery centers across the United States. My main training fields were AP Analysis, Financial Folder reconciliations (bank recs, balance sheets, and accounts receivable recs), and month end processes which included booking revenue and revenue accruals. Other month end items included practice reimbursements to surgery centers and journal entries (ranging from basic journal entries to complex payroll and true up journal entries).

I was in charge of around 1000 home loan accounts that involved very unique situations. I would call and assist the delinquent accounts on my account base, which was around 150 of the 1000 accounts. I would request a payment plan to get the account caught up and back on track. The majority of the delinquent customers would be back on track by the end of the month, and the few that weren't would have a payment plan that would get them caught up in a couple months.

I worked the cash register, which sometimes involved ICAPS (Instant Credit Applications) where I would check a customers credit to see if they met the requirements for a JCPenney credit card. Also, I assisted customers in finding specific items and I gave them helpful suggestions on what clothes matched.

I usually worked with one other person to box car parts in large crates, and we were required to meet quota everyday. The days I was not doing that, I would work on a team of 4-5 to create the cast models that the car parts would go in. This job had a large number of turnover so I would have to do other peoples jobs as well as mine to meet quota for that day. I learned from this job how to remain calm in high pressure situations to meet deadlines. I realized that not everyone is going to show up to work or do the work they need to in a timely manner so I would step up and do all I could to meet the manager's needs.
