I am a Principal in the Construction Group in the Brainerd office of CLA. I have been with the firm since 2005, working with contractors the majority of that time. I continue to spend approximately 65% of my time serving privately held general contractors and subcontractors ranging from sole proprietorship to large corporations in excess of $100 million in annual revenues. I also serve multi-entity, multi-specialty contractors doing business throughout the United States with revenues in excess of $200 million. But I also work with a significant amount of other privately held, owner operated businesses that are not in the construction trades. I have been involved in business start-ups, business acquisitions, specialized construction industry consulting, and transition planning to the next generation, as well as traditional tax and business planning. I have also developed spreadsheets and other technology platforms for clients to aid in their accounting functions and I am the Office Technology Leader in the Brainerd Office.

I worked on and captained a fishing launch on Mille Lacs Lake from the ages of 11 through 23. It was a great experiance and a perfect summer job for a person who loves to fish. I retired after the summer of 2006 to focus on my career in public accounting at CliftonLarsonAllen.I continue to fish Mille Lacs Lake on a regular basis during the summer months in which most of my time is spent hunting muskies.
