Profile bio

About Jillian Ryan

My career has been exciting and unique thanks to the unpredictable world of biotech.  I enjoy Product Development and have extensive experience with automating and troubleshooting diagnostic tests, along with leading logistical efforts to obtain resources and ensure effective cross-functional communication to support project initiatives.  The majority of my experience comes from startup companies, which constantly challenged me to be adaptable and creative, turning me into someone who can be trusted with any challenge thrown their way.  For instance, at PGDx I went above and beyond the nature of my role to support the FDA clearance of a high priority project, leading many efforts from Quality Control, to Analysis, to Customer Support, and on – with a fresh perspective. This experience gave me the rare opportunity to experience Product Development throughout all phases and across functions.  Through my consulting work I also had the privilege and responsibility of assisting clients with urgent projects which would directly impact public wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently I have been proud to contribute to the Multi-Cancer Early Detection program at Exact Sciences, a project which has further honed my automation skills, knowledge of the cancer diagnostic industry, and ability to move projects forward in spite of ever-changing requirements and deadlines.I am excited for more opportunities to continue learning how to apply and refine my problem-solving skills learned from engineering school.  I hope to continue down a career path that will apply my strengths in leadership, troubleshooting, and communication for the advancement of biomedical technology. When I’m off the clock, I can usually be found shredding up the slopes, taking a fitness class, gardening, or enjoying time with my friends and family.

Listed skills include 3D Printing, Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Design, Creative Problem Solving, and 52 others.
