Forming Technologies Incorporated develops software solutions for the design, feasibility, and costing of sheet metal components in the automotive, aerospace and electronics industry. I am currently working in the engineering department where I have completed several projects to date.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Developed an algorithm to verify the translation (4 different languages) of resource files for the complete software package. A task that previously took 25+ man hours to complete is now run in less than 5 seconds with an accuracy of 99%.

Developed end-to-end automated testing program to run 1000's of client geometries through the company software. Through the collection and processing of the retrieved data, critical bugs were successfully detected before product releases.

During my time at S + A, I had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible engineers in the Safety and Security and Audiovisual department.

Collaborated with senior consultants and engineers to design integrated systems and solutions that would satisfy client interests and needs.

Managed multiple projects at the same time for complex organizations including University of Toronto, Ryerson University, Ernst and Young and multiple hospitals.

Completed an end-to-end project for MPAC, a personal project that I was given full responsibility for mid co-op term. Attended and participated in client meetings where communication and understanding of client needs were key.

MedAvail Technologies Inc. is a healthcare technology company that has developed and commercialized an innovative Self-Serve Pharmacy Kiosk solution. The MedAvail MedCenter supports the dispensing of prescription drugs and Over-the-Counter medications. While at MedAvail, I was a part of an elite controls group that designed and managed the autonomous controls behind the MedCenter doors. I joined the group at an exciting point in time where MedAvail was in a make or break situation as to whether or not the new technology would take off!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently created an end-to-end graphical user interface to manipulate over 100 machine parameters through TCP/IP networking protocols over CAN BUS, implemented in C# language on .NET Framework 4.0 and was successfully released to field services for full utilization.

Researched and developed the camera object detection within the dispense bay to determine if a package had been released to a customer, improved accuracy of automated system by 5% by manipulating blob detection algorithm, types of cameras used, shutter speed of camera and the colour of the dispense bay.

Programmed and tested company sequencer script for overnight QA testing to simulate over 1000's of prescriptions being processed and dispensed.

Performed firmware regression testing on MedCenter embedded systems, detected critical bugs before firmware releases while adding intuitive test cases for certain functionalities that had not yet been thought of by other engineers.

Over the years of helping my parents out in my backyard, I started to develop some serious landscaping and gardening skills. Skills so serious that come the summer of 2015 I asked myself, "Why am I only doing my parents backyard?" I didn't have an answer for myself. So, I decided to develop a unique landscaping business from the ground up. My main selling point was that I would landscape YOUR yard exactly the way YOU wanted it done. Not too many companies offer that. You can imagine that after having worked for my parents for a couple years, I gained some pretty good listening skills too! But of course, if a customer was unsure of what they wanted, I provided creative and innovative modelling ideas. In the end, my self determination and drive continuously kept the company expanding leaving nothing behind but the happiest of customers with stunning backyards.
