• Direct operations for Partner Tribes role in California Inter-Tribal Transportation Alliance (CITTA) a division of Federal Highways Tribal Transportation Program. • Projects provide Full Depth Reclamation Roads maintenance and paving of IRR BIA Roads inventory to Tribal and City Governments. • Direct Natural Resource projects and programs including: forestry, fuels, insect, pest, fish survey, wildlife, and cultural resources. • Developed, certified and implemented landscape level land use plans via successful negation with elected officials, committees, specialists, partner NGOs and government agencies.• Direct all Forestry and Fuels Projects including: Mastication, Prescribed Fire Plans, Spatial Forest Mgmt Plans, and Forest Health Insect and Pathology Survey• Direct training for natural resource specialists and technicians. • Seek and draft new funding. • Collect, manage and supervise GIS data, systems and technicians • Assist in Public Works Dept. Responsible for the creation of strategic programs, plans and proposals in various departments, securing funding, and managing staff toward project completion. Draw up strategic programs, plan and proposals (and manage said contracts) for the implementation of natural resources management, education, outreach, and library projects and programs which promote active participation of all sectors of society, including the community, industry, landholders, tribes, developers and government institutions in activities. Produce the annual reports for the natural resources management department and ensure timely reporting on all issues related to the department. Participate in the development and maintenance of the Geographic Information and Remote Sensing infrastructure of the Agency. Participate in the implementation of routine GIS training programs for staff and other departments Participate in training and upgrade of staff within the department. Participate in the review of Environmental Impact Assessments reports. Formulate projects and programs that would integrate sustainable land management issues into national planning. Work in close collaboration with other departments including forestry, water, public works, accounting, and education/library programs, youth programs, the private sector and the general public in the implementation of all environmental programs and projects. Any other duties as may be assigned by a lead administrator or elected officials.
