I am an experienced registered nurse leader and practitioner who completed a Master of Science in Nursing Degree at Chamberlain University in June 2021. I am board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. Additionally, I serve as a registered nurse specializing in wound and ostomy care at UCLA Santa Monica. I am a hospital-wide clinical resource and consultant for the management of patients with wounds, ostomy and continence related issues. In addition, our team conducts monthly pressure ulcer prevalence surveys, maintains pressure ulcer rates data, and works closely with inpatient departments to eliminate nosocomial infections. Also at UCLA Health, I served as a staff liaison for a Nursing Resource Team of over 650 staff members, both registered nurses and nursing assistants. Some of my responsibilities included annual education competency review and safe patient handling training. With experience as a progressive care nurse at multiple facilities across the United States, I demonstrate thorough, high-level critical thinking as a registered nurse. This experience has created a well-versed background.Training future nurses and healthcare leaders is a passion of mine. I serve as adjunct faculty at West Coast University in Orange County, CA in the traditional BSN Nursing Program. I am a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), a proud member of Sigma Theatu Tau International Honor Society of Nursing- Phi Phi Chapter, California Association for Nurse Practitioners, and recipient of UCLA’ s Health Quality “Good Catch” award, promoting a culture of safety and identifying system vulnerabilities that have potential to cause harm.
