I'm a movement leader with over 20 years of non-profit experience, specializing in the stuff it takes to turn online engagement into offline action, digital media into direct advocacy, and new relationships into productive partnerships. I'm also a Southerner committed to the fight for social justice across my home state of North Carolina and the South. I joined Common Cause NC in 2022 as the organization's Associate Director. Prior to this role, I was Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s Communications Director and before that Democracy North Carolina's Campaigns Director — supervising each pro-democracy organization's branding and communications work, digital efforts, resource production, and training, and work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate key campaigns and programs. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Anthropology, earned my J.D. cum laude from North Carolina Central University’s School of Law, and am a member of the North Carolina State Bar. A native of rural Eastern North Carolina, I am proud to have worked with various N.C.-based organizations, including Equality NC, League of Women Voters of NC, NARAL Pro-Choice NC, NC AIDS Action Network, and NC NAACP.
