• Assessed trends in tree phenology throughout the northeastern United States using Harvard Forest long-term ecological research (LTER) and citizen science data. • Employed R and Python for data analysis. • Developed a phenological activity prediction model using citizen science observations and historic weather data.• Determined the urbanization status of study trees using ArcGIS and ArcMap and examined the effects urbanization had on their phenological timing. • Worked with two Harvard University postdoctoral fellows studying age-related and ecotypic patterns of tree phenology. • Identified trees to species, collected tree stem and root cores, and collected canopy leaves via a bucket lift. • Located and tagged trees using aerial images as reference.
