• Role: lead the procurement function to identify, develop and manage strategic and tactical opportunities in the acquisition, use and disposal of goods and services. Provide supply chain process expertise, consulting and support.• Scope: The functional groups in the Downstream sector (supply, refining, marketing and sales).• Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain and Facilities Management• Key accountabilities and responsibilities:• Identify and develop cost reduction opportunities• Develop supply strategies that are aligned to the functional and sector strategies• Supply Chain process leadership on business improvement teams• Continuously improve and develop the procurement processes across the organization• Provide guidance on the appropriate use and application of supply chain management tools and techniques• Provide contract review and commercial advice to senior managers• Lead the negotiation of strategic supply agreements• Establish performance measurement standards and structure• Manage key supplier relationshipsACHIEVEMENTS:•Business lead for Catalogue Management project to a.Centralize the creation and management of master material data b.Establish standardized material classification and taxonomy c.Install Master Data Management (SAP NetWeaver MDM) software application d.Cleanse legacy material data•Strategic Cost Recovery to a.Conduct market and business environment analysis b.Identify and initiate cost reduction negotiations with major suppliers c.Secure lower costs of goods and services•Chemical Commodity Review to a.Analyze spend on chemicals, catalysts and additives across all corporate sectors b.Initiate and conduct strategic sourcing projects where opportunities are identified to secure lower total costs
