Joshua studies the psychology and biology of musical behaviour, trying to understand why people sing and dance. Aside from his academic work, he has previously volunteered for a range of projects that have used music and dance to combat social isolation, and occasionally performs as an opera singer, juggler and swing dancer – although usually not at the same time.
