As the Consortium Lead for our advising team with a passion for DE&I initiatives, I onboarded and supported all McCombs MBA underrepresented Consortium students (40+) each summer and coached them to roles at Coca-Cola, BCG, Playstation, Google, Nike, Facebook, Amazon, and elsewhere. I also served as communications and resume / cover letter lead for the Career Management team (launching our first instance of VMock) in addition to directing the Career Fellows Program, for which I hired, trained, and managed 45+ second-year MBA peer advisors. With my proposed rebranding of our Peer Advisor Program to Career Fellows, we achieved a 100% increase in applicants in 2019 and brought heightened visibility to the team and our coaching work. Along the way, I supported assessment efforts for the School of Undergraduate Studies, planned and executed a large conference, and conducted grant research and press release writing.
