Scott is a real people person and the most important job he ever held was being a “tinker man” selling pots and pans for Corning while in school. He gained the reputation for being able to have a conversation with anyone. His skill at interpersonal relationships has been the most important factor throughout his working career. In college, Scott delved lightly into the paranormal, exploring fields such as astrology, numerology and meditation. Strangely, the subjects meshed well with him as he has always held an affinity for fantasy and science fiction.After teaching himself programming on a personal computer, he pursued a career in the technology field. Computers were second nature for Scott. He first worked phone support for an ISP. Being a quick learner, he rapidly jumped ranks from phone support to assistant network administrator in 3 months. He participated in the Y2K rollout for Suntrust Bank, worked with a small computer shop, and spent 6 years in IT for a local city municipality. Today, he is the Senior Systems Analyst for a software company contracting with FAA and DOD providing Information Display Systems for situational awareness for Air Traffic Control, emergency management and security forces.Scott joined MUFON in June 2015 and is working on extending the index used by MUFON for classifying types of reports from 5 to 6 to include human-initiated encounters. Soon after becoming an FI, a case affected him greatly and focused Scott’s primary motivation - to help the witness cope with their experiences and change in paradigm.Recognizing his integrity and ability to lead, Scott was appointed as State Section Dir for North Georgia in November of 2016 as well as to the Special Assignments Team and 3-member MUFON Dispute Committee. As of 4th qtr 2017 he is State Dir for Alabama and Assistant State Dir for Georgia. He networks with subject matter experts to make MUFON a respected go-to organization by agencies and individuals alike for UFO-related reports.
