Lead/transformed several of SVBs core businesses; collectively, they account for almost 2/3 of SVBs lending, and half of bank profits. Reported to President.Private Equity:- Global Fund Banking (Private Equity Services): Over 4 years, transformed this VC-centric business (50% VC market-share) located in SF & Boston into a global PE business with offices in UK, across the US, and in HK/China (grew PE share from 2 - 24%, and VC to 63%). Business grew from 11% --> 46% of SVB's loan book, and represented >80% of the entire banks' growth for each of the last 4 years. Responsible for strategy and execution including hiring most executives, plus managed most operations including restructuring the customer service organization.- Sponsor Buy-out Lending: General Manger for SVBs leveraged lending business, focused on cash-flow lending to tech and health care businesses owned by PE firms.Private Bank- Private Banking: Restarted SVB's only consumer lending business, with a new focus on lending against illiquid assets (e.g., carry, private stock) of VC/PE GPs and start-up CEOs. Business grew from 5% --> 16% of SVB's outstanding loans over 6 years. Responsible for strategy & execution including hiring key sales & lender management, technology roadmap, client service.- Wealth Advisory: Created a de-novo RIA to advise on the wealth needs of high net worth clients of the Private Bank. Previously, led national VC Relationship Management team, focused on developing institutional relationships with the most prominent VC General Partners in the US.
