Served as the primary staff support for the Water Conservation Advisory Council. This legislatively created group of experts is responsible for reporting to the Texas Legislature on the status on water conservation activities throughout the state as well as making recommendations on how the state can improve in the realm of water conservation. My responsibilities include:- Scheduling/Facilitating meetings- Drafting meeting minutes- Sending notifications out to the council and its stakeholders- Editing/proofreading reports and other documents- Provide technical assistance to stakeholders regarding questions concerning the council- Updating and maintaining the council’s website. Additionally, I also manage TWDB's Conservation Literature Program, as well as aid in the agency's education and outreach efforts.

As a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield I was the first member of the medical team the client interacts with. I worked independently and in collaboration with doctors and other staff members to evaluate each patient, develop appropriate treatment plans, and carry out necessary treatment items. Other duties I'm responsible for included:- Interacting with clients in regard to medical issues pertaining to their pet and the cost of treatment- Researching patient history prior to each pet visit- Collecting necessary samples (i.e. blood, fecal, and urine samples) - Running diagnostic tests - Creating and maintaining medical documentation for each patient

Working as an Environmental Consultant with Blackshare, I served as the storm water inspector for a multi-staged construction project. I conducted weekly inspections of the site, documented incidences of non-compliance, and addressed these issues with the construction foreman. As the only member of the team located in Corpus Christi, I was responsible for not only ensuring project goals were met but also for communicating concerns from my supervisors to the construction staff and vice versa.

During my education at Tarleton State University I worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Chemistry, Geoscience, and Physics. In this role I taught multiple lab courses in chemistry, environmental science, and geology. I created and presented weekly lectures to as many as 90 students per semester. I was responsible for setting up experiments, assisting students in completing the experiment, and grading lab assignments. Additionally, I managed one to three lab assistants per semester who aided in setting up the experiments and grading lab assignments. One achievement I am especially proud of as a graduate assistant is re-working the environmental science lab. I wrote multiple lab experiments and re-configured existing experiments to give students a broader view of environmental science. My experiments are still used in the lab today.

While working with the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation program through TAMUCC, I worked as a Research Fellow with an ecology lab. The lab focused on oyster recruitment and oyster reef ecology. My duties included traveling to study sites with the rest of the research team, collecting samples in the field, and analyzing collected samples in a laboratory. In the field, oyster reef sites were analyzed for the amount of recruits the parent reef had at the time. Additionally, samples of species living in and around the reef were collected and taken back to the lab for analysis. In the lab, my duties focused on examining the species composition of the samples collected in the field to determine what species use oyster reef as habitat.
