About Jorge S.

I am a physical therapist (PT) from the University of Washington (‘20). My primary clinical interests include outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care. While I believe that open-mindedness is important for success, I find that I have the greatest satisfaction when working with people with orthopedic and neurological conditions. From my clinical affiliations in school, I have garnered a high degree of invaluable experience with patients across the entire life span and from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Specifically, I find that treating everyone with respect and dignity can foster a positive therapeutic alliance conducive to improved functional outcomes. In addition to my clinical knowledge as a PT, I am a seasoned certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. I have worked in corporate fitness and student wellness settings with clients who have a predisposition to injury and disease due to the sedentary nature of their lifestyles. Throughout my professional life, I have demonstrated a commitment to improving public health and injury prevention via physical activity. I plan to continue to educate my community on the benefits of exercise to facilitate physical activity into their daily lives long after they leave the hospital, clinic, or fitness center doors.
