My interests are wide and varied. I hold a PhD in American History from Boston University. My skills include archival research, developing research projects, synthesizing complex topics, writing to convey nuance and context, public speaking, and teaching. I've spoken at dozens of conferences on topics ranging from gay and lesbian history, history of Utah, Mormonism, urban history, conversion therapy, history of HIV/AIDS, and the history and science of psychedelics. I grew up in Utah and Arizona but I currently live in Cambridge, Massachusetts with my husband, Dr. Michael Ferguson. I like to be outside, I study languages for fun, and I play piano.
